Due to the fact that Alan is a mainstream writer, he has a lot of access to popular culture/books/bad movies. If your medium is a videogame and anime, you're pretty much safe. But if your character is from anything that's current, please fill this form out! This is just so I can keep all my ducks in a row. I understand that fourth walling can be seriously brain breaking to a character.

CHARACTER NAME: Sinbad motherfucker
CANON: Magi: Labyrinth of Magic but lbr sinbad the sailor from 1001 nights is the obvious throwback so that'd probably be the first assumption hearing his name
WHAT CAN HE NOT KNOW: nothing, but the original tales don't apply to him largely so he'd just be confused
WHAT CAN HE KNOW: the few things that do largely correlate to sinbad are his hometown being fashioned after small turkish fishing villages and their manner of dress (we're going way back here tho to ye ancient days) but there isn't much else besides being a ladykiller and a drunkard and getting up to all kinds of mischief, but he is more than free to run with it and just throw him for a loop
